Leather furniture that has been well cared for should have a very long life but it does need a little TLC.
Your central heating will over time dry out leather and cause it to go hard and then crack. Direct sunlight will do the same and will also fade the natural dye in the leather. Dirt and dust as well as food and drink spills will ingrain into the leather over time.
We are often asked how to clean a leather sofa, especially when they have been well loved. Well, to keep your leather furniture in great condition, we recommend you use our Renapur Leather Cleaner twice a year or as needed. For high wear areas such as seats, arms and where your head rests against the leather, you may want to use the Leather Cleaner more often. Use immediately after food or drink spillage.
After cleaning allow the leather to dry and re-treat with Renapur Leather Balsam, which should also be used twice a year to keep your leather soft and supple.
